Hey JWGB. . .
Nope that was it. All I have is that the new bible isn't the "big news". Something else is up.
The 144k thingy is my personal speculation. Drastic, yet relatively harmless.
Anything else materializes, you'll be the first to know.
- 23 day to go .. annual meeting unofficial rumors.
- new bible.
- new nwt (revision).

My sources tell me there's a new bible.
They also tell me that it is NOT the "big news" to be released at this meeting: something bigger is going to be announced.

My money is on chucking the literal 144k
in the very first paragraph, matthew 13:38 is to be read - "the field is the world; as for the fine seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; but the weeds are the sons of the wicked one..".
jesus speaks of only two groups, so if you accept the wtbts "anointed" doctrine, then if you haven't got the "heavenly hope", then you've got no hope!.
simply put, there aren't any 'other sheep' members of jesus' "one flock" mentioned, unless of course theyare also "sons of the kingdom", but of course, that would be ridiculous!!.
PROLOGOS - they are definitely not getting rid of the two tier system. I heard it from the "horses mouth". I'll bump my thread from Sunday for you. . .

it would not surprise me to hear that the GB have "discerned" that all dedicated, baptized publishers are part of the New Covenant
I think this is totally possible. I keep hearing that "something big" is coming this annual mtg, and it's not just a bible.
Edit: hold on, let me revise this. ... I believe that all baptized members could be invited to "partake", but a two tier system would remain (as whacky as that sounds)
some 'apostate' jw friends of mine told me.. this must gonna be some big news.
anyone heard it?
i'd dearly love to know what they're going to come up with next.
Interesting. It was mentioned to me that there was 'something big' to be announced at this AGM.
I said, Yeah, no kidding, they're releasing a new bible.
My "source's" reply was no, something else besides that, even bigger.
Curiouser and curiouser. . .
the paragraph says:.
who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave?
that slave is made up of a small group of anointed brothers who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing.
This OP is great. Some good ammo for the weekend.
When friends and family yammer on about this "new light", direct them to the 1981 WT. . . .
Their "new light" is over 30 years old! And it was endorsed by apostates!
which is more weird ?.
english standard edition or simplified edition?.
instructions we may receive, whether.
That is definitely weirder.
i came across this new video by danmera, i thought it was to the point and nicely done.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlitve8t3pk.
EXCELLENT application of the Milgram experiment!
Great video.
it was announed at the sunday meeting 9/1/13 that all congregationswill be hearing the same local needs talk this week as sent by the wbts.. i would like to know if anyone has had their service meeting yet and what it was about..
So after hearing the "special" talk this evening, the question is, "Why?"
I mean, they just completed a HUGE addition to Walkill a couple years ago. Did they lose the phone numbers to all those "qualified" brothers who worked that job? What happened to them?
You would think they would keep a database of those guys instead of doing a nationwide canvas.
Perhaps some of those über qualified brothers at the Walkill job got a taste of bethel life and that was enough for them!
